A different shape for the Landscape range. This shallow oval dish can be used to display fruit or flowers or just to sit prettily on it’s own. The decoration is my favourite silver birch copse on the riverbank. This bowl has a simple elegant shape emphasised with a dark brown base. Silver birch tree trunks are carved through into the white porcleain creating a visual and tactile decoration. sixe: medium 14 – 17 cm diam

Bowls
Porcelain bowls thrown on the wheel then turned to give a graceful footring and tapering form. Black slip is painted onto the base and thinned out resulting in subtle tones from charcoal to palest grey, foliage is thickly applied in layers to create random patterns. White silver birch tree trunks are deeply inclised back into the porcelain to give textural interest. Glazed inside for hand washing, these bowls come in all sizes and can be used decoratively just on their own as a statement piece or as functional pieces around the home to fill with flowers or piled with salad greens.

Vases
Thrown on the wheel in fine porcelain and turned to give a simple profile – the detail is all in the delicate decoration. The same stylised silver birch motif is carved into chocolatey black slip all around the tall slender vases. Fully glazed inside so washable by hand.

Oval Dish
This simple shaped dish is thrown as an open cylinder on the wheel then removed whilst still soft and carefully squeezed into shape. At this point the rim can be pinched to create an raised edge and a base is added before bisque firing. Next the piece is glazed and fired a second time to 1260 degrees. This dish looks lovely when filled with brightly coloured limes or lemons – washable by hand.
